Some things never change

On Sunday the Jets made it quite clear that the franchise has no idea how to win a big game. For the eight straight year at home the Jets have lost to the New England Patriots. If there was ever a time for the players to make a statement that the Jets are for real it was yesterday.

After all the money that was spent to upgrade the offense, especially the line, it is clear that this group of players is only interested in there contracts. How do you take 3 shots at the endzone from 1 yard out and not score???? I do not understand why the backs ran straight into the line. Did these guys ever see a Walter Payton, or Emmet Smith, or even a Curtis Martin highlight film??? Dive over the pile and get in the endzone!!!!! It is that simple!!! But that would mean giving an effort!!! It is time that the Jets stopped trying to take the easy route and work a bit. You have a gunslinger as your quarterback, why not get his attempts up to the 30 to 35 range??? Oh, that's right, the overpaid offensive line would have to block then!!!

The better teams in the league score when they reach the red zone. The Jets, kick or miss field goals, and fail to gain a yard on multiple attempts.

Jets fans, it's going to be a long season of the same old stuff!!! We deserve better.
