Here come the Patriots

With the news today that Tom Brady will be out the remainder of the season, Jets fans are worked up into a frenzy. Believing that the Jets are now the team to beat in the AFC East. Let's slow down a minute here Jet fans. There is another team in the division called the Buffalo Bills. On Sunday the Bills showed a lot of power in beating up on a Seattle team. As we all know, Seattle plays horrible when they have to travel cross country. Also the fact that Matt Hasselbeck has a bad back, and no receivers to throw the ball to, did not stop the Bills from running away with the game.

It will be interesting to see the Jets and Bills showdown, but don't look past the Patriots. New England is a strong team, and if there new QB plays within the system, the Patriots will be deadly. Expect the Patriots to slow down the passing game and be more balanced on offense. Going back 2 years ago, the Patriots offense ran pretty much even on run vs pass plays.

Also, Cassel played with the first team all of the pre season. The offense is comfortable with him, and if he continues to play with in the system, New England is going to be a force to deal with.

The Jets need to step up the offense and take advantage of all scoring opportunities. They must get into the red zone on all positions and come away with points. The Jets can not allow the Patriots to hang around like the Dolphins. If the Jets do allow the game to be close in the 4th quarter, unlike the Dolphins, the Patriots will win the ball game.

It is time for Brett and the rest of the Jets to earn there money, and earn the respect of the rest of the league. They must win this game at all costs. This game will set the tone for the remainder of the season. I know it is only week 2, but it is the Patriots. The way your earn respect is to knock off the defending AFC East Champions, and stop there undefeted streak.

Week 2.......Patriots.........LETS GO J_E_T_S, JETS< JETS< JETS!!!!!
