Chargers have been the victim of TWO last second comebacks (last week's "blown" call was the
dagger). However, this is a team that's faced tougher challenges than an 0 - 2 start. Rivers is
a little bit of a hot head, and may not make all the right throws, but he knows that his team needs
this win at home. I don't think Rivers will try many deep throws, but when he does complete them
they should go for six against the Jets (he has 6 tds and only 1 interception btw!). Tomlinson and
Sproles are huge weapons, though they might be able to contain them at the line of scrimmage
(Jets D line has looked good), if they come out of the backfield for flats or quick slants the Jets will
have no answer. Plus, Sproles proved himself as a threat to run it back every time on special teams.
The Jets are still looking to make a statement, and personally I can't see that happening. Farve is
a good QB, but he just doesn't have the talent around him that he had in Green Bay. The Chargers
defense is fast and aggressive, and though Merriman is gone the fact that this is a home Monday
Night game after two devasting loses, the D will be pumped. They only have 1 sack in the first two
games, but I have a feeling that will change after this week's game.
Nothing more to really say about this one, it looks pretty straight forward to me: Jets don't have
the offensive or defensive weapons to keep up with a team that is looking to bounce back on the
big stage. 38 - 10 Chargers.
